RISING Brit star Kaya Scodelario has revealed one of her pals was STABBED in the tough neighbourhood where she grew up.

The 18-year-old Skins actress said she drew upon her experiences for her latest role – in gritty anti-knife movie Shank.

She said: “My best- friend’s boyfriend was stabbed a couple of months before I got offered the role. I know kids who live like this.”

And Kaya, who went to school in Islington, North London, added: “Reading the script reminded me of being back there, that sort of intimidation.”

“The film is where I’m from and sometimes you have to remind yourself.”

The film is out in UK cinemas.

Skins star Kaya Scodelario has landed the coveted lead role in Andrea Arnold’s Wuthering Heights adaptation.

The 18-year-old actress revealed that she will play Emily Bronte’s iconic literary heroine Catherine Earnshaw for the Fish Tank director via her Twitter account.

She wrote: “need to start learning the yorkshire accent… im gonna be in the new Wuthering Heights film! as cathy! should probs read the book… start filming next month, cant wait! Andrea Arnold is directing, she is amazing! cant wait to work with her! (sic)”

Scodelario, who played teen tearaway Effy Stonem in four series of E4’s Skins, has appeared in Moon, Clash Of The Titans and Shank.

Natalie Portman and Gemma Arterton had previously been attached to the Ecosse Films project.

Bronte’s Wuthering Heights previously made it to the screen in 1939 with Laurence Olivier leading the cast. A 1992 version featuring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche was also released.

SKINS beauty Kaya Scodelario has revealed how she had to change schools after she was tormented by cruel bullies.

The actress, 18, who stars in new Brit flick Shank, said: “I went through a year of hating myself at secondary school.

“I was bullied to the point of having to change schools because it got so bad.”

Kaya, originally from Sussex, later got her lucky break on E4.

She explained: “It was at my new school that I got told about the open auditions for Skins and that would never have happened if I hadn’t moved.

“I saw one of the girls who bullied me the other day. She was walking down the road with a baby and I thought, ‘Glad to see you’re well… ‘”

Hi, this site has a new owner so it will come back to be updated

I was going to add up the new layout as well as content yesterday since it was all done but my computer decided to crash on me. That means I lost everything and have to start all over. I’m currently on a friends computer so I don’t know when I’ll be able to add it but hopefully it won’t take long. So keep checking back!

I recently added the scans of Kaya from LOVE Magazine. She looks gorgeous in these shots, so be sure to check them out. There has been a lot of rumors going around about Kaya and Jack dating from what she was claimed to have said in the scans. However, Kaya has denied the relationship on her twitter. So for now, we don’t know for sure, but we are going to label it as false. Also, I have finally added a few old pictures of Kaya. Sorry I didn’t get around to adding these earlier, but now they are up for you all to enjoy.
